POSITION: Part Time Custodian
QUALIFICATIONS: Hourly Wage based on experience
REPORTS TO: Lead Custodian
GENERAL SUMMARY:
A Part Time Custodian is responsible for cleaning classrooms, offices, restrooms, common areas, gym and locker rooms, and other custodial tasks as assigned by the Lead Custodian.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Cleans assigned areas daily which involves cleaning, sanitizing and disinfecting surfaces, sweeping and mopping, vacuuming, dusting, taking out trash, etc.
- Work schedule is afternoons and evenings at the end of the school day or activities.
- Operates and maintains custodial equipment and reports repair issues to the supervisor
- Follows cleaning schedule as defined and assigned by a supervisor; and, utilizes various cleaning supplies and procedures.
- Interacts with co-workers, supervisors and school administration.
- Performs other related duties as required.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work is conducted primarily indoors with an occasional need for outdoor cleaning around the exterior of the building and sports facilities. There is occasional exposure to discomforting environmental conditions such as heat, cold, humidity, noise, electrical hazards, dusts and wetness if outside. Frequent contact with strong cleaning agents. Moderately heavy physical exertion is frequently required to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 150 pounds. No travel is required.
