After-School Program Staff-Reidville Elementary
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
- Desire to put forth best effort in all assigned duties.
- Must possess the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff, parents, and the public.
- Applicants must be 18 years old.
REPORTS TO: Building Administrator
GENERAL SUMMARY:
Responsible for helping students develop and strengthen academic, physical and social skills by providing assistance and tutoring to students in the after-school program.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists in planning and implementation of academic, enrichment, health, and recreational extra-curricular learning experiences for students.
- Assists tutoring of students in academic subjects such as reading, writing, math, and other areas.
- Provides one-on-one and small group instruction, utilizing a variety of teaching techniques
- Works effectively with students in after school activities and assist with behavior management, discipline, interpersonal actions, and act as a role model.
- Promotes good habits for the purpose of improving the quality of students outcome and encouraging student development
- Follows all district and school policies, rules, and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Conducts duties in an office/school/work environment with no significant exposure to environmental conditions. Physical demands are restricted to office work requiring lifting/moving of items up to 25 pounds. Job requires the operation of standard office equipment.
